DIA Staff

Gary has been Director of the DIA since 1999. He has previous experience with the Cities of Lewiston, ME; Dayton, OH; and Grand Junction, CO. His specialties are in business attraction and retention, urban design, public policy and strategic planning.

Vicki Taylor is the Associate Director for the Downtown Ithaca Alliance. She oversees and manages the various major events of the organization, including Apple Harvest Festival, Chili Cook-Off and Summer Concerts as well as marketing for the organization.

Matthew Riis has joined the Downtown Ithaca Alliance as the Events Coordinator. Matt assists with Chili Cook-off, Apple Harvest Festival, the Summer Concert Series, Gallery Night, Sidewalk Sales, Holiday Celebrations, Ithaca Festival Spring Craft Fair, and other Downtown Ithaca events.

Shannon brings to the DIA her experience in marketing, graphic design, photography and publishing. She designs all of our print materials and has created a look for Downtown Ithaca that can be seen in all of our communications. 

Kris Lewis, proprietor of Morris' Mens wear, has joined the DIA as our newly formed Operations Manager.  She will oversee downtown operations concerning ambassadors, maintenance on the commons, and beautification.
