Office Worker Appreciation Week

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Downtown Ithaca Office Worker Appreciation Week that will take place from July 27-31, 2009. This event is to celebrate the Downtown Workforce. So take a break. Get out during your lunch hour and get free items, discounts, and enjoy the music. Below is a schedule of events.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY are the Summer Sidewalk Sale: 35 merchants offer great bargains. Not to be missed!

Friday is the day for the awards for the Office Olympics and the Hot Dog Eating Competition at 1pm. The Winners are as follows:

The Downtown Gnome is hidden waiting to be found each day of the week. He is sneaky but will give you a hint as to where he is each day. Office Worker Olympics - Teams of four compete for the titles in the following seven tasks:

1. Paper clip chain making
2. Trashcan paper toss
3. Super Sorter
4. Rubber Band Fling
5. Water Cooler Relay
6. Parking Meter Dash
7. Mouse Pad Fling

Compete between 12 and 1:30pm. Each member of the team must compete in all events sometime between 12 and 1:30pm (all members do not have to be present at one time to allow for office coverage). Scores will be tallied and winners announced on Friday.
