The Ten-Year Downtown Development Strategy

The Downtown Ithaca Alliance has created a ten-year development strategy to serve as a guide and blueprint for downtown growth and development from the period 2010- 2020. The goal of the strategy is to paint a vision for the future of downtown and to identify for the community the steps necessary to realize this vision.

This strategy was first prepared in 2009 and later revised in 2010. It was adopted by the Downtown Ithaca Alliance Board of Directors and endorsed by the Ithaca Common Council.

This is no silver bullet plan. The Strategy consists of eighteen (18) separate categories, each with its own action items, tasks and policies.
