The Ten-Year Downtown Development Strategy

• The Ithaca Downtown Partnership has created a ten-year development strategy to serve as a guide and blueprint for downtown growth and development fro the period 2000 - 2010. The goal of the strategy is to paint a vision for the future of downtown and to identify for the community the steps necessary to realize this vision.

• This strategy was first prepared in 2000 and later revised in 2003. It was adopted by the Ithaca Downtown Partnership Board of Directors and endorsed by the Ithaca Common Council.

• This is no silver bullet plan. The Strategy consists of eighteen (18) separate categories, each with its own action items, tasks and policies.
